Passbook Savings Account
Monthly GIRO from S$200 to S$10,000
No over-the-counter deposits allowed except for initial deposit
A minimum initial deposit of $1,000 to $5,000 is required to open a GIRO Saver Account
Fall-below fee of $2 if average daily balance for the month falls below $200
Deposit Insurance Scheme
Singapore dollar deposits of non-bank depositors are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation, for up to S$100,000 in aggregate per depositor per Scheme member by law.
